Anyone with the M/T in the snow I was going to get a set this summer and was interested in how they would perform in the snow also Or should i invest in a dedicated winter tire if so what kind is the best. My stock rugged train are the worst.

Well, I don't have personal experience with the MTs but I've heard they do well in fresh powder... ice and packed snow are a different story.

I would guess MTs do as well as or better than dedicated snow tires (DST) in the fresh powder (deep or not) but ATs will probably do better than the MTs in packed and ice... and then DSTs will do the best overall - but you can't use them but during a few months.

i have them and they are not that great in snow. i live in upstate ny and we get a good amount of the white stuff here. i run my stock michelins for wintwer and although they look like a car tire, they are sick in the snow!

I have run mine in snow and ice. I think they are great! I will never run anything but MT's. My Goodyear MTR's were awesome in the snow and ice as well. You need to run MT's at about 30psi in the snow and ice on the street.

Like everyone saying, m/t good for deep pow and mud and sand; a/t good for pack snow and ice. Make a/t for winter, m/t as summer.
